Belated Birthday

After months of waiting, Amanda finally had her birthday party. She decided to go to Panda Girlz and have........a dress up party. The girls had their hair, makeup and nails done. After, they decided to have an inpormptu fashion show down the runway. Amanda had a blast! She is definatly my girly-girl!

School Spirit

Daniel was voted "most school spirit" his senior year.....This particular spirit day was video games. He decided to dress up as TRON. Of course there are no costumes in January, so my wonderfull mom and I decided to make one. Here is the finished product. He looked amazing!!!!!!

It's amazing how as an adult, time seems to fly by. I remember growing up, waiting for Christmas to arrive seemed like an eternity. Now how I wish that time would slow down so that I can enjoy the holidays. The kids are out of school for Winter break and I am so excited to be able to spend time iwth them. As we returned from Tahoe this past weekend, I realized that some of the best moments in life are the ones that we spend together, doing absolutely nothing! I also realized that my family is my most prized posession. 2010 Christmas will be one to remember for many things and I am looking forward to spending every moment with the family. Here is hoping that you and your family enjoy their holiday season.

Lorikeets

Interesting birds. Advertised as birds to come up to you and you are able to feed them, however, it neglected to state that they also bite!!! Amanda was not having anything to do with them, but Daniel, being the great big brother, endured bites to his ears and arms to show Amanda up close what the birds looked like. Just call him the Bird Man

Smiles

It's funny how things happen. One day you are juggling work, home life, children's activities, extended family, etc. Then out of the blue, you loose your job and for a moment panic. Then you realize that there is an entire other world that you have yet to discover. A world where you are still juggling home life, children's activities, extended family, etc., but you are enjoying it. You are not tired from working all day and you are actually finding sheer happiness being the "best mom" (direct quote from Amanda). Don't get me wrong, I loved my job and the smiles that came when an event was done successfully or a classroom was able to have a picnic because we donated the food, but these smiles....the smile that are is on Amanda's face because I jumped in the pool with my clothes on, or Daniel's grin when I whisper in his ear at 10pm "let's go to the movies". Those smiles will last me a lifetime. It's great to be a mom.

Summer 2010

So we begin a new chapter in our life. Stay at home mom. After several years in PR and Events, an unexpected turn has placed me where I need to be......Home. I am excited, scared and hoping for the best as I prepare for this new challenge. I will miss being out and about with the community the way I once was, but am thrilled at the prospect that I will be able to nurture my family and help them be the bet persons they can be. Thank you to all my friends who have shared their concern and support.
